Missions

It is a core value of Christ Church to enable and equip our members to ‘reach outward to the world in mission and service’ and to ‘live kingdom shaped lives that transform our world’. One of the ways that this value is expressed is in the support of individuals who have committed their lives to full time or long term missionary work. The instructions of Jesus throughout the gospels to “go and make disciples of all nations” and the model of Paul’s missionary journey, provide a rich biblical framework and set of guidelines for the going and sending of missionaries.

Below you can read more about some of the missionaries that Christ Church supports relationally, prayerfully and financially (from the tithing and specified donations of the congregation).

How can you get involved?

  • Commit to praying for our missionaries by using the Outreach pamphlet and the church bulletin for prayer requests and updates.
  • Be-friend a missionary as a family or small group and write to them, pray specifically for them and visit with them when they come to Cape Town.
  • Visit or join the Missions Team, who meet once a month to pray for our missionaries.
  • Give financially towards missions.
  • If you feel God is stirring you to GO on mission, short or long term, please get in touch with the Missions Team, who will pray and discern with you.
