Get Involved

At Christ Church we have a large and growing number of young adults. We are all about encountering God in a real and life-changing way! We love to gather for worship, teaching and sharing stories of what God is doing among us. These are some of the things we get up to:

Connect Groups – communities of between 15 and 40 people who meet every two weeks for fun, teaching, worship and prayer. Each group has its unique focus so if you don’t feel comfortable in one, try another!

Small Groups - Small groups are a place to grow in Christlikeness in a more intimate, accountable and confidential setting. Contact Charlotte Brown (charlotte@christ-church.org.za) and ask about nearby small groups; otherwise ask around…

Sunday evening service @ 19h00 – of the three Sunday worship gatherings, this is the one most geared towards young adults. Join us for worship (starts at 18h45), teaching, communion, prayer and one of a number of ad-hoc social get togethers afterwards – favourite destinations are Banana Jam, Burruso’s, Spur or someone’s house…

Weekend Camp – Once a year we get together for a weekend to relax together, worship and engage with teaching. The dates of this weekend away are 23 – 25 July (the last weekend of the UCT holidays) so book that time now!

Mentoring – if you’re looking for a mentor or want to be one, contact Eleanor at mentoring@christ-church.org.za or Daniel at danmill@gmail.com. The next training day is Saturday, Sept 4 from 8h30 to 13h00.

Opportunities to serve – there are many areas of ministry we can plug you into. Some examples are our youth ministry (leaders needed!), worship groups, ministry among the poor, prayer teams and even helping run our young adult events (and this website!). Let us know if you’re interested and we will hook you up (with ministry that is).
