Worship

Worship is central to the vision and mission of Christ Church, reaching upward to God, and outward to others. We gather together as a community to worship God through a wide range of musical styles and songs. We do not limit our application of worship to our services, but rather view the lives that we live as an expression of worship. Through authentic, Spirit-filled praise and worship we seek to know and love God more deeply, and to serve Him more fully in the world.
There are five worship teams that serve on most weekends of the year:
- The 8am Music Group leads the 8am congregation in a mixture of traditional hymns and modern songs, using their choral skills to great effect.
- The 10am Worship Team has a contemporary approach, utilizing a band-based musical style to sing both older choruses and modern songs.
- The Ambassadors Worship Team is made up of high school and university students, and leads the teenage congregation at the Saturday night 7pm Youth Service in lively and fresh worship songs.
- The Children’s Church Worship Team lead the 10am Children’s Church meeting in worship songs that are selected for younger worshippers.
- The 7pm Worship Team comprises both students and adults in four different bands, and leads the 7pm congregation in a contemporary expression of modern worship.
We believe that any musical preference in worship is secondary to the attitude and condition of our hearts, and while we seek to embrace many different approaches to worship, our focus remains the same throughout: To worship God the Father, through Jesus Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
We hope to worship together with you soon!
