We love Jesus and want to serve him in all we do. We are an Anglican, Evangelical Charismatic Church situated in the suburb of Kenilworth in Cape Town, South Africa. We are one of six churches in the Parish of St. John’s Wynberg in association with the Diocese of Cape Town in the Anglican Church of Southern Africa (ACSA).

We support and are involved with the Parish Warehouse – which gives covering (literally and spiritually) to a number of projects addressing issues of poverty and injustice.

Through New Wine we are linked to other churches nationally and internationally sharing a similar ethos and common desire to equip churches to see Jesus’s kingdom grow.

We also have strong links with Messiah’s People which seeks to reach out to Jewish people and to remind Christians of the Hebrew roots of our faith.

We long to see people come to know Jesus as Lord and Saviour. We have been running the Alpha Course for the past 11 years. We are an Alpha Resource Church for Cape Town.

We encourage all members to be committed to:

WORSHIP – “Do not neglect to meet together.” – (Heb. 10:25). We cannot grow in our faith or support others if our worship is sporadic. Join us at one of our services of worship.

FELLOWSHIP – Whilst worshipping together is vital, we also need opportunities to get to know other Christians in order to be encouraged and challenged in our faith. We strongly urge members to join a small group.

GIVING – As Christians we are called to be good stewards of our money and possessions, which we hold in trust from God. We called to give cheerfully, regularly and sacrificially to the Lord’s work – (1 Cor. 16:2 and 2 Cor. 9:7). We encourage members to tithe their income and to give a portion of that to support the ministry and outreach of Christ Church. SERVICE – We need to discover God’s will for our lives in terms of some avenue of loving service. This is best done as part of a team or Small Group. Outreach and the Warehouse seek to open up such opportunities.
