Outreach

Outreach comprises Mission and MaP.

Mission covers both support for people called by God to short and long term mission work, locally, in other parts of our country and beyond our borders, as well as sending out teams on short (7 to 10 days) mission trips.

It is our privilege to support and partner the following missionaries:-

Joseph Mpakanyane with Global Evangelism Ministries in Lesotho. We take teams up to Lesotho to share in the work.
Nancy Robson is with St Mary’s Mission in Namibia. A team visited her in September 2006 sharing in her work amongst AIDS orphans.
Hazel Large is with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Niger where she is working on literacy projects.
Brenda van Straaten is with Mercy Ships in Liberia where she has a particular involvement with an orphanage.
Xoliswa Mkontshwana is with SCO (Student Christian Organistaion) and Aldine Marcus is with SU (Scripture Union)‚ locally.
Trevor Pearce heads up the recently established Church Growth Network.
Garth Collins has a long term ministry amongst political leaders in South Africa and Africa.
Christian Senyoni is with World Relief in Kigali, Rwanda.

MaP stands for “Ministry among the Poor”. We use a biblical community development approach, and by forming relationships with poor people we seek to minister to the whole person and community, physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually. The aim is to give a “hand up” not a “hand out”. A number of different projects come under the umbrella of the Parish Warehouse which seeks to empower and equip churches to address issues of poverty and injustice.
