Parenting Course

This course run for seven weeks, is for any parent wanting to nurture a good relationship with their child. The goal is that you will complete the course being better equipped to undertake the task of parenting the children God has entrusted to you.
Topics covered include:
- Understanding why children do the things they do
- Learning to listen to children and helping them learn to listen to us
- Building self-esteem and resiliency
- Learning to discipline children and set realistic, consistent boundaries
Knowing something of the psychological, physical, social and spiritual development of the child equips us to help our children grow to be confident and considerate members of society. Appropriate skills help us find solutions to specific difficulties and challenges.
Note: The skills are generic and can be applied to any age. The course consists of seminars that are developmental and build on one another. It is therefore important that there is a commitment to attend the full course.
