The Christ Church Choir

The ministry of choral singing is the privilege of the Christ Church Choir
who lead worship at the 8am Communion Service each Sunday.

The Choir rehearse every Thursday evening in the church from 6.20pm
– 7.30pm. A typical rehearsal will see time spent in prayer, rehearsal of
the music for Sunday’s worship, rehearsal of other material for future
services or concerts and an epilogue led by one of the members to end the
rehearsal.

The Choir sings a very broad range of music. Traditional Hymns, Psalms
and Canticles to Anglican Chant, Anthems and Motets, Taize Songs,
Contempory Songs arranged in four-part harmony and Traditional
Anthems are all part of the music programme enjoyed at Christ Church.

In addition to regular Sunday worship the Choir participate in Parish
Praise, Songs of Praise, Carol Services and Feast Day Services of the
Church Calendar.
