Prayer Ministers

PRAYER CHANGES EVERYTHING!!

Or does it?
We invite you to complete our survey on prayer.
It’s absolutely anonymous.
But we are keen to know what you think, and what part prayer plays in your life.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Romans 12:12
See Prayer times below:

Prayer is central to all we do at Christ Church. We believe it releases the power of God to help us live our lives, at home, at work and in our city. There are regular prayer meetings to pray for Christ Church and our various ministries and courses. There are also prayer meetings that focus on praying for Cape Town and the nation. We run men’s and women’s weekends at Vomoed near Hermanus four times a year. See courses.

We offer opportunities for personal prayer ministry, spiritual accompaniment and spiritual direction. There are also retreats, quiet days and special prayer events. We have a prayer room at Christ Church Centre which is set aside for individual prayer and prayer meetings.

We also have an emergency Prayer Chain that will mobilise a team of people to pray in a particular moment of crisis. Contact us and speak to Alison if you have a prayer need or want to find out more.

Prayer Requests

When we need help we can call on God through prayer. We offer two ways for you to get others involved in lifting your prayer requests and praises to the Lord.

Ask for prayer on Sunday

We’d love to pray with you, in person. At the end of every service there are prayer ministers available who would love to spend a few moments praying for you for any need you want to bring to God, or join you in giving a special prayer of thanks for answered prayer.

Quiet Mornings on a Saturday

The mornings are comprised  some input , then 45 minutes of silent reflection (with questions), then a little more input and some more silence and reflection.

                                                                                                                                                                                          Dear Friends,
Warm greetings from the Diocese of Harare!
It has been a while since we gave you an update of events in the Diocese.
We have now been informed that the Supreme Court hearing will take place from the 22nd October 2012 and will last that week.
We are appealing for any assistance towards covering our legal bills. Most importantly we are asking you all to join us in a week of prayer and fasting during the hearing period starting on the 22nd October. We want to thank you all for journeying with us during this difficult period in the history of our church.
Thank you.

Zimbabwe                                                                                                                                                                        (This is the hearing which will determine whether the churches and other properties in Harare diocese belong to the Anglican Church or the renegade Nobert Kunonga. There is no way that they can justifiably argue that they belong to Kunonga, but this is a corrupt judiciary, so much prayer and fasting needs to take place! If it goes against the Anglican church this will mean all Anglicans will be thrown out of their places of worship permanently and persecution will no doubt intensify.)
